Fujitsu’s Automation Interface Enables Tampereen Sähkölaitos to Operate Effectively
Automation has been accepted by many fields such as manufacturing, agriculture, military, healthcare and renewable energy sector is also not behind. As demand for the renewable energy sector has grown because of the rising awareness of climate change crisis, many energy companies are requiring the applications based on automation to fasten the process and increase the productivity.

Tampereen Sähkölaitos, founded in 1888, is a modern energy company with about 400 employees. Every year, it produces more than 3,400 GWh of renewable Finnish energy. Also, the company develops electricity, heating, and cooling solutions for approximately 250,000 customers with the sales of €289 million.
The company was reliable on multiple paper based and manual business processes previously. The processes used to cause human errors, involved continuous duplication of efforts and became tiring for the employees. To overcome these challenges, Tampereen Sähkölaitos was looking for a solution to automate its functions.
Tampereen Sähkölaitos chose its IT partner Fujitsu. It is a Japanese information and communication technology (ICT) company that has introduced UiPath Robotics Process Automation software. Because of the implementation of this automation interface, the routine processes that used to take hours, now complete in few minutes.
As repetitive tasks are performed by machines, employees can focus more on strategic priorities and planning so that they became able to take smart and instant decisions. Also, as these faster processes helped to save thousands of euros monthly.
Johannes Lindell, CIO, Tampereen Sähkölaitos said, "Fujitsu has given us the RPA tools we need to automate essential but routine tasks, reducing costs, improving data quality and speeding up processes."
This automation Software interface helps to automate budget planning, employee onboarding and customer contract renewals. It enables around 200 employees to update, create, or retrieve the vital information. Along with these benefits, Fujitsu’s software has eliminated the potential human errors and it has enriched the customer services by increasing the efficiency.
