Smart businesses implement digital transformation so that they can balance innovation and industrialization at scale. It also helps the organizations to integrate with the wider ecosystem. That’s why experts opine to create an intelligent business, that must be operated with a combination of digital platforms, with artificial intelligence (AI) and data at its core.

Recently, Accenture entered into an agreement to acquire Sentelis—an independent data consulting and engineering company, specialized in scaling and designing data and AI capabilities. Athina Kanioura, Chief Analytics Officer and Global Lead for Accenture Applied Intelligence said, “Our research shows that a strong data foundation underpins an organization’s ability to successfully scale AI”.

He also stated, “Strategic acquisitions — like Sentelis — are bringing greater capacity and enhanced capabilities to our data and AI client work. Sentelis’s data strategy, architecture and engineering skills align seamlessly with Accenture’s focus on industrialized, end-to-end solutions.”

AI is Becoming New Method for Data Analysis

Businesses already have a huge dataset. On the other side, companies are adding huge number of data on daily basis. To structure, analyse and get insights from this data becomes very hectic for enterprises. Looking at the changes in the technologies, tech experts say that previously used statistical models have converged with computer science and become AI and ML. In recent years, it has been seen that AI and ML are used on a broad scale to perform the tasks related to the crucial data.

Data Analytics Reduces Labor-intensive Burdens and Increase Speed

Day by day, AI is enhancing analytics world with completely new capabilities that also include semi-automatic decisions making based on training data. It does not apply to all questions regarding the data, but it revolutionizes the method to get rules, predictions and decisions done without complex human know-how for specific use cases. Previously processes of data management and analysis used to take days, weeks or long period but thanks to AI technology. With this technology, it has become less time-consuming with less-human interactions.

Humans Still Play Vital Role

AI system not only needs to learn from data but also from humans to fulfill its functions. Data scientists express that even if AI and ML are proving as an efficient analytics method when it comes to big data, businesses still need a combination of human intuition and machine intelligence to improve these technologies. Study shows state that enterprises that have combined the power of human with AI and data science technology are successfully resulted into more efficient business operations. It also able to get quicker insights from data and ultimately the combination has helped to increase the productivity of enterprise.
